ABOUT THE ARTIST

Irina Soroka is a professional Russian artist. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Moscow School of Arts in Russia. Irina creates her paintings using different mediums which include acrylics, ink, oil pastel and charcoal. She works in a process of layering, pouring, scraping off, and scratching into the surface, leaving traces of earlier art and color. This allows the colors to flow freely, intertwine into one another, transforming conflict and form in playful ensemble works of art. Irina uses refined glazing techniques in every painting. Irina's work can be found in many private collections in Europe, Australia and US, and selected for the set on the award winning hit ABC television show, ‘Modern Family’. Irina currently resides in Boca Raton, FL with her husband and two children.
